London Marathon Supporters Party 2024

Looking for transport from the start to the finish line and don’t want to fight your way through the crowds? We've got you covered! 

Join the SAPPHIRE OF LONDON* on race day to celebrate our marathoners Becky, Harvey and Jo!

 *The River Princess, has been renamed to the Sapphire of London.

Tickets are valid all day. You can board or disembark the vessel at any of the pier stops shown. Tickets have sold out and are not available on the day.

PIER STOP - 13:15   Greenwich Pier, King William Walk, London, SE10 9HT

13:30  Boat departs Greenwich Pier  

PIER STOP - 13:45   Masthouse Terrace Pier, Napier Avenue, Millwall, London E14 3QB

14:00  Boat departs Masthouse Terrace Pier

PIER STOP - 14:45  Westminster Pier, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2JH

15:00  Boat departs Westminster Pier

PIER STOP - 16:30 Westminster Pier, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2JH

17:00  Boat departs Westminster Pier

FINAL PIER STOP / DISEMBARK - 18:45-19:00 Westminster Pier, Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2JH 

RECOMMENDED VIEWPOINTS
Viewpoints are optional. If you would prefer to skip the viewpoints, you can board the vessel at any of the pier stops and enjoy the river cruise.

VIEW POINT 1: GREENWICH  (Start Line)

Check with your runner where their start location isOnce you’ve seen your runner set off, head to Cutty Sark. Cutty Sark is a walkable distance from all the start zones. Plus, it’s one of the iconic sights on the marathon course and always has a party atmosphere. Warning: it will be very busy!

VIEW POINT 2: CUTTY SARK (Mile 6-7)

Once you’ve seen your runner pass Cutty Sark you can either:
1) Board the Sapphire of London at Greenwich Pier from 13:15. The boat will depart at 13:30! 

OR

2) Walk through the Greenwich Foot tunnel to watch your runner at mile 16. After you’ve crossed the river, there will be a bit of a wait. This is a good opportunity to grab a drink enroute. We recommend the Lord Nelson Pub, 1 Manchester Rd, London E14 3BD. 

VIEW POINT 3: WESTFERRY ROAD / MUDCHUTE (Mile 16)

Once you’ve seen your runner pass Westferry Road head to Masthouse Terrace Pier to board the Sapphire of London. The boat will depart at 14:00! See you there…don’t be late, the boat can’t wait!

VIEW POINT 4: THE MALL (FINISH LINE) 

You can walk from Westminster Pier to The Mall. Runners finish on The Mall. The final stretch of the race sees runners turn right at Westminster on to Birdcage Walk, the road that runs alongside the south side of St James's Park.
